Nicole Chi

FILM: LOS MOSQUITOS

Nicole Chi is a Costa Rican-Chinese director of fiction and documentary films. Her first feature-length documentary, Guián (2023), premiered at Visions du Réel in the Burning Lights Competition. Her short films Comadre (2022) and Los Mosquitos (2024) have been screened at festivals such as the Telluride Film Festival, SXSW, and Cinélatino Rencontres Toulouse. Nicole has been recognized with awards like Best Director by the Director’s Guild of America in the student category.

She is currently developing her first feature fiction film, La Versión Cansada.
