Jessy is a highly accomplished Dominican-American filmmaker and executive producer who initially gained prominence for his work in the music video industry. His portfolio includes creating iconic videos for global artists such as Jennifer Lopez, 50 Cent, Maluma, Bad Bunny, Wisin y Yandel, Ricky Martin, among others, collectively accumulating over 22 billion views. His contributions in music videos are further complemented by his impressive directorial work on feature films. He directed and produced the popular film, “SOUL PLANE”, which introduced comedian Kevin Hart and featured cameos by Mo’Nique and Sofia Vergara. Additionally, he directed “FREELANCERS”, starring Robert De Niro, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Forest Whitaker. Later on, he went to direct “GUN” with Val Kilmer. Presently, Jessy serves as an executive producer and director, emphasizing Latin pop culture-oriented projects through his production company, Cinema Giants, for a broad range of partners and platforms.
Jessy’s recent endeavors include creating and directing all thirteen episodes of the Netflix Original “NICKY JAM: EL GANADOR”. This achievement spurred him to develop “BRAVAS”, an all-female cast music-driven drama set in Puerto Rico, for YouTube Originals, currently available on TelevisaUnivision’s streaming platform VIX. Cinema Giants also produced the documentary film centered around global superstar Maluma, “LO QUE ERA, LO QUE SOY, LO QUE SERÉ”, and the docuseries “30 DAYS WITH ANUEL”, featuring the Puerto Rican Trap artist. In late 2022, Cinema Giants produced a documentary series for Amazon Music/Amazon Prime called “LA CUNA DEL DEMBOW” explores the birth and rise of the Dominican music genre, which features Bad Bunny. Most recently, in another collaboration with Amazon Music/Amazon Prime, Cinema Giants produced the documentary “HIP HOP POR SIEMPRE”, that focuses on the influence of latinos in Hip Hop over the past fifty years.
